Okay so I few weeks ago I was sent three Dainty Doll products. I had never really been attracted to Dainty Doll before as I thought it was a little expensive! However since trying out the three products I was given I was rather impressed!
Dainty Doll is a makeup range created by Girls Aloud singer Nicola Roberts. It is designed especially for fair skinned girls – I think this is fantastic as I know that being as pale as I am that it is hard to find makeup that will look good on my skin!
WHAT I RECEIVED : I received a Lipstick, Eye Shadow and Wonder Balm.
PACKAGING:

LIPSTICK

Colour : “It’s My Party”
Price : £12.50
Finish : Matte

This lipstick was lovely and soft. It lasted around 4 hours without smearing, smudging or rubbing off. I was impressed that when I went to have a drink that none of the lipstick transferred onto the cup. A lot of my lipsticks tend to wash off after I’ve had a drink!
I don’t think I would pay £12.50 for a lipstick however I love this colour A LOT so who knows…maybe I will buy one!
EYE SHADOW

Colour : “Treat Her Like A Lady”
Price : £11.50
Finish: Shimmer
Personally I didn’t really like this colour. When I put it on my eyelids I thought it made me look very dull and dark. I might use this as a contour or bronzer though as it isn’t too pigmented but might give me a better glow or define my face more.
It lasts around 6 hours and doesn’t have any fallouts. It is quite shimmery but has more of a matte look to it.
WONDERBALM

Colour: Pink
Price: £20.50
Finish: Clear
The idea of this product is to help dry skin. I must say that it definitely does what it says on the box! It is a very versatile balm that can be put on dry hands, knees, arms, face, lips etc ! It smells of grapefruit and leaves the skin glowing and looking fresh. It is a little sticky however once it is completely dry which takes up to 1 minute , it will look great.
OVERALL
My impression of Dainty Doll is 50/50. On one hand I love how the products are high quality and are unique , however on the other hand I don’t particularly see myself spending £10 on a single lipstick or eye shadow!
I suggest you give the brand a try and see for yourself!
