E.L.F Makeup Lock & Seal Review

PRODUCT NAME: E.L.F Makeup Lock & Seal

PRICE: £3.50

WHERE TO BUY: http://eyeslipsface.co.uk/product~prodID~316.htm, you can also purchase this on the other Elf websites

COLOUR: Clear

WHAT’S INCLUDED: Makeup lock & seal liquid, mini blending brush and small cup to pour liquid into

FIRST IMPRESSIONS

My initial thoughts of this product was that I was never going to use it. I read the description of it and I thought that it was just going to be like the eye transformer that e.l.f does but in a different packaging. I decided the other day that I was finally going to have a go at it. I’m glad I did.

WHAT DOES IT DO?

The lock & seal formula is a brilliant way to make eye shadows that aren’t very pigmented … well…. more pigmented. It makes the shadows brighter, bolder and last longer.

PERFORMANCE

It works brilliantly, especially with eyeshadows that don’t have a lot of pigment or potential! I used it on my BOOTS NATURAL COLLECTION EYE SHADOW and it bought the colour out really well.

OVERALL

Overall this is a product that will work wonders for any eyeshadows you have that don’t perform well. The makeup lock & seal will not only brighten them up but it will make them last longer and will make them crease less.

*disclaimer – I did not purchase this product. I won this in a competition I participated in a few months ago. I am in no way being paid to review this product*

Dainty Doll mini Haul

Okay so I few weeks ago I was sent three Dainty Doll products. I had never really been attracted to Dainty Doll before as I thought it was a little expensive! However since trying out the three products I was given I was rather impressed!

Dainty Doll is a makeup range created by Girls Aloud singer Nicola Roberts. It is designed especially for fair skinned girls – I think this is fantastic as I know that being as pale as I am that it is hard to find makeup that will look good on my skin!

WHAT I RECEIVED : I received a Lipstick, Eye Shadow and Wonder Balm.

PACKAGING:

LIPSTICK

Colour : “It’s My Party”

Price : £12.50

Finish : Matte

This lipstick was lovely and soft. It lasted around 4 hours without smearing, smudging or rubbing off. I was impressed that when I went to have a drink that none of the lipstick transferred onto the cup. A lot of my lipsticks tend to wash off after I’ve had a drink!

I don’t think I would pay £12.50 for a lipstick however I love this colour A LOT so who knows…maybe I will buy one!

EYE SHADOW

Colour : “Treat Her Like A Lady”

Price : £11.50

Finish: Shimmer

Personally I didn’t really like this colour. When I put it on my eyelids I thought it made me look very dull and dark. I might use this as a contour or bronzer though as it isn’t too pigmented but might give me a better glow or define my face more.

It lasts around 6 hours and doesn’t have any fallouts. It is quite shimmery but has more of a matte look to it.

WONDERBALM

Colour: Pink

Price: £20.50

Finish: Clear

The idea of this product is to help dry skin. I must say that it definitely does what it says on the box! It is a very versatile balm that can be put on dry hands, knees, arms, face, lips etc ! It smells of grapefruit and leaves the skin glowing and looking fresh. It is a little sticky however once it is completely dry which takes up to 1 minute , it will look great.

OVERALL

My impression of Dainty Doll is 50/50. On one hand I love how the products are high quality and are unique , however on the other hand I don’t particularly see myself spending £10 on a single lipstick or eye shadow!

I suggest you give the brand a try and see for yourself!

E.L.F Eye Transformer Review

PRODUCT NAME : E.L.F Eye Transformer

PRICE: £3.50

I recieved the E.L.F eye transformer in my box of prizes from the Beauty Editors shoes competition and I didn’t really think I was going to review it because it didn’t interest me that much.

Much to my surprise this little beauty shocked me completely! It’s absolutely amazing and a must have in your E.L.F collection!

PACKAGING: The packaging is really simple and much like the other studio products. Black, sleek and stylish and very well protected. It fits in the palm of your hand and can be taken pretty much anywhere ! It comes with a small application brush too.

THE COLOURS:

In the palette you get 4 colours. Pink, Blue, Green and Yellow. These are very pale colours and aren’t extremely pigmented so to use these on there own may prove to be difficult – however if you are looking for a light eye shadow then you could use this on its own!

HOW TO USE: To use this product and get the best out of its ability you simply apply black liquid liner or liquid eye shadow to your eyelid then apply the desired colour on top. This will create an amazing metalic finish.

Amazing huh? Below are pictures of the shadows without any liner :

As you can see they aren’t that pigmented but they are supposed to be like that!

Overall I love this little product so much! I had no idea how well it would perform! If you are looking for something dramatic on your eyes then this is perfect!
