Get That Look : Demi Lovato X Factor

So as some of you may know , Demi Lovato has become the newest member of the panel on X Factor USA. Demi’s style is both unique and chic and I am going to show you how to steal her style!

Below is an outfit that is similar to Demi’s but a fraction of the price!

DRESS

I found this dress online at Topshop.com. This dress is gorgeous and would compliment any body type. At £40 this dress is a bargain!

This is so similar to Demi’s dress ! The style of the dress itself is slightly different but the pattern is uncanny!

SHOES

So her shoes are pretty much plain simple black heels. They’ve been jazzed up a little with some studs but you can get plain black shoes and customize them yourself if you’re on a budget! Below I’ve got two styles of shoes. Heels and Flats. You can wear either with this dress and I thought I’d post two styles as not everyone likes heels.

I’ve found a really cute pair of studded shoes on Everything5pounds.com , and yes that’s right….They’re only £5!!! BARGAIN!

JACKET

Demi’s paired the dress with a lovely plain black leather jacket. You can pick these up in most stores so this should be an easy find! If you’re not too keen on wearing leather , try pairing it with a black blazer.

I found this on Ebay.com. Now not many people realize that a lot of the sellers on Ebay are stores. Most people assume that it is all second hand things. This jacket is only £29.99 and is absolutely gorgeous!

This outfit comes to under £100 if you shop at the right places. This is a look that is perfect for all shapes and sizes and can be paired with or without the jacket to give it a different look.

E.L.F Haul May 2012

So I haven’t made an order with E.L.F in a really long time! I used to make lots of orders in the space of a few months but I said to myself that I need to use up the things I have first before buying anymore! So I did!

I took advantage of one of E.l.f’s amazing codes and spent £21 and got £5 off !

I ordered on Saturday 12th May and It was dispatched yesterday (they had an overload of orders so it was a little late than usual but I don’t mind!) and I received it TODAY! FAST DELIVERY!

MY PURCHASES

(please excuse the blurry pictures and the random background! I was so excited that I snapped those piccys super fast haha!)

Below are swatches and prices of the items I purchased

E.L.F All Over Cover Stick in IVORY – £1.50

I bought this cover stick as mine that I have had for a while now has run out! I love , love , love this stick as it conceals all my blemishes and really brightens up my skin. It’s creamy and leaves an even and smooth coverage. It blends really well too!

This colour looks a little too dark for me but I can remember my last one was too dark for me too but after a while it for some reason got lighter!

E.L.F Flawless Finish Foundation in PORCELAIN – £6.50

This is a lovely creamy foundation that isn’t too watery and isn’t too thick. I am very pale and as you can see this is a little dark for me! However I hope that as the summer months come and my skin gets tanned that this will live up to it’s full potential!

E.L.F Under Eye Concealer And Highlighter in GLOW/FAIR – £3.50

I am really looking forward to using this. It not only conceals your dark circles but it enables you to highlight too! This will make my face look so much brighter! This colour suits my skin a lot more than the other products.

E.L.F Brush Shampoo – £3.50

This is my first proper brush shampoo that I have bought. I usually use fairy liquid to clean my brushes but I will let you know how I get on with this!

E.L.F Studio HD Powder – £6.00

This made my skin feel SO SOFT! I can’t wait to use this on my entire face! It’s a white powder that is supposed to give you that flawless HD effect on your face. I shall give it a go this week!

Mini Makeup Haul

A few days ago I ordered some makeup off of Ebay. It was a bit like a swap as it wasn’t all brand new items and instead of us swapping we paid for the items.

In my mini haul I got

2 No7 Blushes

1 clinique blush

L’ancome Juicy Lipgloss

Kiehls body cream

17 Mascara

I am against animal testing however some of these brands still unfortunately test, however I have faith in these companies that they too will become cruelty free as of next year =)

In total this haul cost me £6.80 which I think is a bargain! In total this haul is worth well over £50! Ebay is a brilliant place to do makeup hauls as you can get a variety of makeup ! However I do suggest checking with the seller first that the makeup isn’t older than 6 months and that their feedback is good.

I thought that these swatched really well! The pigment in them is brilliant. They are a little shimmery but to be honest I think that now we are coming into the warmer months, a little sparkle wouldn’t hurt!

This was a little weird to be honest. It didn’t have a smell and it took ages to soak in! It didn’t really leave my skin feeling soft, more sticky. However my skin looked a lot brighter and more healthy !

Now, I am going to be completely honest with this blush. I really didn’t like it at all. As you can see on the swatch it just looks like I have a bruise on my arm. When I put it on my face it looked like someone had punched me! The actual powder itself looks pink but when you put it on your skin it turns a horrible shade of brown. The pigmentation in it is awful and I wouldn’t recommend this at all!

I liked this mascara quite a lot! It is pure black which I like as some mascaras that claim to be black end up having a brown tone to it, but this is perfect. The brush is nice and thick to allow maximum coverage. I look forward to using this more!

When looking at the swatch and tube you’d think that this was going to be lovely and pink. But when I applied this to my lips you could barely see it. This is a lovely raspberry colour which unfortunately doesn’t show up on your lips too well! It does give a nice little shine though so I suppose that is a plus!
