M&S Pur Minerals Chisel Makeup Brush Review

Hey Everyone!

Today’s post is a review on the Pur Minerals Chisel Makeup Brush. I have never tried a chisel brush but I found it was very similar to my buffing brush only a little more denser.

Pur minerals is the new range of makeup that M&S sell online and in store. If you check out my previous post on the Pur Minerals Pressed Powder you can find out more about their products!

The chisel brush is designed to be used with powder foundations and you can even use it for contouring and blusher. The brush is lovely and dense and it picks the products up well and is great at blending.

I was a little confused by the “all natural” claim. It says “made from cruelty free, blend of goat, sable and pony hair”. I would have thought, all natural would mean no animal produce used in the brush. Correct me If I am wrong! If you are 100% against animal produce being used in makeup products then you probably wouldn’t get along very well with this brush. I find that horse hair brushes perform a lot better than brushes that don’t use horse hair. I find the product sticks on the brush better and it gives you a much more even coverage. I am 100% against animal cruelty so I am hoping that no animals were harmed in the making of this brush!

The brush feels really soft against your skin and I like that it is the perfect size for contouring!

The only downside I found was that the bristles came out a little bit, but I find with most new brushes they tend to do this so hopefully this will stop after a few weeks!

This is £13.00 and you can purchase it HERE this can be bought online and in store at M&S.

Overall I am pleased with the brush. I love the density of the brush and that it blends powders really well onto the skin.

Leave me a comment letting me know your favorite brush!

M&S Pur Minerals 4 in 1 Pressed Powder Review

Hey Everyone!

Today’s post is a review on the M&S Pur Minerals 4 in 1 pressed powder. This is one of the many beauty products that Marks & Spencers have started selling and I can’t wait to share with you all!

Pur Minerals claims to help all women look their best by providing problem-solving skincare and makeup that helps give you a healthy looking complexion. Their products contain no harsh chemical dyes, petroleum-based oils, fragrance or fillers. Pur offers a large range of clinically proven skincare enhanced makeup and complexion care that compliment any regimen. Pur claims to have  ”NO MESS, NO STRESS” products which can help you achieve a flawless complexion with their 4 in 1 beauty products in just 60 seconds.

The Pur Minerals range at Marks & Spencers caters for all skin types. They have a wide range of products including blushers, brushes, lipsticks, tinted moisturizers, powders and more!

What I really like about their range is that they cater for porcelain skin tones! Hallelujah! If you have pale skin you will agree that it is so hard to find foundations and concealers that cater for our colour. I was absolutely thrilled to see the Porcelain colour in the Pur Minerals range. At M&S they have the powder foundation, concealer and tinted moisturizer in the lighter colour! Brilliant!

I love the packaging of the Pur Minerals range. It’s very elegant and most importantly it’s well made. I am always dropping my powder foundations and the packaging on this is really thick and heavy weight which will protect it! I like that there is a mirror with it too so if you are “on the go” you don’t need to carry a separate mirror with you.

The powder is sleek and soft on the skin and gives you a medium coverage. It blends really well and has a lovely pink/golden undertone to it which I found gave my skin a much more healthy glow than some of my other powders do. With the undertone pigment in it , it brightened my complexion up and gave me the flawless finish that I wanted! Result!

The lasting wear is okay. I have had powders that have lasted longer than this. I found after about 4 hours it began wearing off but it is only a powder so it’s not really expected to last all day. I found that it covered my blemishes well too and took the redness away.

This costs £24.00 and you can purchase it HERE and in M&S stores. There are 10 colours available so you will definitely find your perfect shade!

Overall I am really pleased with this powder. No it doesn’t last as long as my other powders but I like that it gives a flawless finish and it has no harsh chemicals in it!

Leave me a comment or a tweet with your thoughts!

Atopalm Intense Moisturizer Review

Hey Everyone!

Today’s post is a review on the Atopalm Intesnse Moisturizer. I received this in my January She Said Beauty Box and decided that I would review it. I don’t usually like to review random little samples but as this is a moisturizer and I am constantly seeing people ask for moisturizers that they could try I thought I would review this!

Atopalm isn’t a brand that I am overly familiar with. I had heard about one of their products about a year ago but didn’t really take much notice until I got one of their moisturizers this month.

Atopalm Intense Moisturizer claims to shield the skin against damage and protecting it from environmental stress. It also claims to leave the skin feeling fresh, soft and perfectly comfortable.

For a 100ml tub of this moisturizer it costs £25 making this 8ml tub around £2 in value

When I opened the lid I wasn’t impressed that it wasn’t a full sample. It says 8ml but it wasn’t even half full! I felt a bit annoyed because it says 8ml on the label but is probably only 2ml ! Cheeky!

I got around 5 uses out of this

The formula is a really nice thick consistency and it soaks into the skin really well. I like the smell of it, it reminds me of lemons which I LOVE. The only thing I didn’t like, and this is something I hate about some moisturizers is that as I was applying and it was beginning to soak in, it became quite sticky and I hate that. It’s only because it’s still trying to soak into your skin but I really dislike that about some moisturizers because while you’re  still rubbing it into your face you end up tugging your skin quite a bit from it!

I wouldn’t say this made my skin feel softer, however my skin looked noticeably more fresh than it did prior to applying the moisturizer. Around my nose and in between my eyebrows can get a little bit flaky in the winter and this stopped this almost instantly which I was pleased with.

Overall this isn’t my most favorite moisturizer however that wouldn’t mean I wouldn’t recommend it to a friend. I think this has great potential and if you don’t mind spending more than £10 on a moisturizer then you would probably really like this one.

You can purchase this online HERE on their website and you can also purchase this on Amazon

i on Beauty Kabuki Brush Review

Hey Everyone!

Today’s post is a review on the i on Beauty Kabuki Brush. I have wanted a Kabuki brush for god knows how long now, and for Christmas I finally got one! Eek!

I haven’t heard of i on Beauty before, but I am super excited that I’ve found another beauty brand that I like! Not so good for my purse though…starting to see cobwebs appear! May need to start this spending ban soon!

You can find their website HERE

Their website isn’t the most easiest of things to navigate and it’s a little bit messy. I know this shouldn’t reflect my view on their products but the website is where you can buy their products from and it doesn’t attract me there at all. So if you are reading I on Beauty – Please give your website a little makeover! Just so it’s easier to use :)

The Geo-Friendly brush range that i on beauty sell are made from bamboo and synthetic talkon hair making these 100% cruelty free.

These brushes kinda remind me of the Eco Tools brushes!

My first impressions of the brush were good because I liked that it was Geo-Friendly , animal cruelty free and just an all round natural product.

The brush is lovely and thick and really soft. It picks up powders and blushers really well and leaves a nice even finish. The only thing I didn’t like was that the bristles kept falling out. It’s beginning to stop now so I don’t know whether this is because it’s new or anything or whether it’s just poorly made. Not sure!

Overall I like this brush a lot and I’m really pleased with it. These are quite a pain to purchase but I have seen these in Tk Maxx a few times and they have appeared on Amazon too.

I hope you enjoyed this post!
