The other day I decided to purchase the MUA Undress Your Skin Illuminating Foundation in the shade Porcelain. You have no idea how over the moon I was to see the porcelain shade on the shelf. As a pasty face young lady I get frustrated when brands don’t create a shade for us pale pretty’s! We deserve some foundation love too!
I purchased this from my local Superdrug store for £5, although it was 3 for 2 at the time so I think it was a little bit cheaper!
The Undress Your Skin Range is a relatively new range by MUA which is all about creating a flawless complexion on a budget! Their range reminds me of Urban Decay’s NAKED range so I would highly recommend trying this first before splashing out!
PACKAGING
I like the packaging of the foundation. It’s simple, nude and makes me think of a fresh look. The tube is different, I’ve never had a foundation in a tube like this before so I was intrigued. It has a screw cap to prevent any leakages.
FORMULA
The formula is thick and a tiny bit watery but I kind of like that as it allows easier application and less product. It’s just a little bit creamier than a normal foundation. The porcelain colour is perfect. It’s really light and perfect for the paler skin tones. It’s a medium – full coverage.
APPLICATION
Application is super easy. You need around a grape size amount of the product to get a medium coverage and maybe 2 grape sizes to get a full coverage. It goes on like a dream and sits really nicely on the skin. It’s not at all streaky and it’s just amazing!
QUALITY
I really like the quality of the foundation. It hasn’t really got a smell to it which is good because I hate the smell of foundation sometimes! It’s got a great coverage and makes my skin look flawless. I love that it’s really lightweight too so this will be perfect for the summer. It’s given my skin a lovely fresh and glowing look
NEGATIVES
The only negative I have, which isn’t really the products fault, it’s my skins fault but I want to mention it anyway. If you have oily skin you might find this a little too harsh on your skin. My forehead has been oily lately and this foundation does make it worse. However after applying a matte powder over the top it calmed it down a little. I’m only pointing this out for the oily complexioned people out there as it might make your skin a little bit more greasy
OVERALL
I am really pleased with this foundation. I can’t really fault it. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality as I hadn’t read glowing reviews online of it but I can assure you this is a really lovely product. It’s only £5 so if you aren’t 100% keen on it it’s not really much loss. If you have a light skin tone then this will suit you perfectly. There are 2 other shades to choose from too.
